Honor Museum at Walnut Ridge

Today Mayor Dotson had the opportunity to receive a personal tour of the Wings of Honor Museum at Walnut Ridge Airport — one of only 26 advanced flight training centers in the United States during World War II. More than 5,000 pilots trained there before serving our country, and he shared, "It was incredible to walk through such an important piece of American history."

Even more exciting, the city received notice of an $800,000 grant from the Arkansas Division of Aeronautics for improvements at our airport. These funds will allow us to construct an additional T-hangar and reroute Airport Road to improve both safety and access for the future of aviation in our community.

Investments like this continue to move our city forward, and we are proud to see the progress taking flight.
